We had another successful year and this year the books were chosen by the members.

Our book of the year was “If only they didn’t speak English” written by the journalist and author John Sopel. The year ended with our prizegiving of a chocolate Santa Claus for the best attender and also for the best suggested book, and was followed by our Christmas lunch. We are very sociable, we all look forward to our monthly meetings and many members stay on afterwards to have lunch and a social chat.

Of our 13 members one has become part time which leaves an opening in our club for a ‘new recruit’.
